Recently, the project (Rapid Testing Device and Application of Cavitation Resistance of Coating Surface) jointly cooperated by our company (Nanjing Xian'ou Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd.), Institute of Product Quality Standard of Ministry of Water Resources and Hangzhou Mechanical Design and Research Institute of Ministry of Water Resources, has been awarded the 2022 New Technology Promotion Guidance Catalog of Zhejiang Province Water Resources (Certificate No.: ZST2022001).


In the research process of anti-wear (wear-resistant) materials, it is necessary to measure, compare and evaluate the wear resistance of materials. For example, components such as pumps, valves, runners and blades of hydraulic turbines often fail due to cavitation damage. Cavitation damage is one of the common forms of failure in aero-engine oil supply system components. Aero-engine oil supply system components work in the high-pressure aviation kerosene medium, a large number of the presence of the addition of force and pumping components caused by the work of the system between the different parts of the pressure changes are huge, very easy to occur cavitation damage, and even lead to parts of the breakdown and rupture, seriously affecting the safe operation of the aero-engine. Hydraulic turbines working in sediment-laden water are subject to serious abrasion and rapid damage, requiring frequent shutdowns for maintenance, and even being forced to release water during the flood season, resulting in huge losses in economy and energy. Therefore, solving the problem of rapid abrasion damage of hydraulic turbine is an important task for the development of hydropower.

 

The device consists of ultrasonic vibration system and constant temperature system, etc. Based on the mechanism of hydro-mechanical cavitation damage, the use of ultrasonic cavitation technology can improve the simulation effect of hydro-mechanical cavitation environment and shorten the development cycle of anti-cavitation materials. Main performance characteristics: wide range of ultrasonic amplitude, high peak value, can more accurately simulate the cavitation damage; significantly reduce the test equipment area and construction costs, amplitude 100μm ± 5%; ultrasonic maximum power: 2500W; equipment occupies an area of about 3m2; testing time of about 1 hour.

The series of intelligent temperature-controlled ultrasonic material cavitation tester also known as vibratory ultrasonic cavitation system, ultrasonic cavitation machine, ultrasonic abrasion tester, ultrasonic acoustic focusing probe-type acoustic chemical treatment system produced by Xian'eu Company is developed and manufactured in full accordance with the requirements of the American Society for Testing and Materials standard (ASTM) G32-06, and won the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress of China Surface Engineering Association in 2019.
