The academic exchange converged a lot of scholars who are doing researches of mass spectrum, and its the top level of mass spectrum academic communication, not only the number of the participants,but also there were lots of world's top scientists.This conference was the 59th one that held in USA, hearing from the authority web of ASMS, sponsors have announced the place and time of the future three academic exchanges.And lots of the participants have taken part in for many times.

The organization committee arranged some short-term training courses before the meeting, for these people who need "charge". The fee for ASMS member was us$400, nonmember was us$700, and students us$150, most of the learners are ASMS member. The contents of the courses aims at research hot spot for present time, all teachers were the well-known experts in the field of mass spectrometry.

The manufacturers were the lead roles during the academic exchange, they were holding users exchange before the conference is held, more than 1000 users were taking part in. In addition, on the first day of the exchange, the mainly mass spectrometry manufacturers held press conference including ThermoFisher, AB Sciex, Agilent, Waters, Shimadzu, PerkinElmer etc..

At the opening ceremony, Prof.Susan T.Weitraub who was from the Washington University as the vice president of ASMS, delivered a speech titled as "Dust reveals the origin of our star"; and at the closing ceremony, Prof.Arthur Shapiro who was from the American University delivered a speech titled as "Why we are amazed only at the things we have seen?". Besides, the conference sponsor arranged both Prof.Béla Paizs who was from German Cancer Research Center and Prof.Robert J.Cotter who was the ASMS mass spectrometry outstanding contribution award winner from the medical institute of American Johns Hopkins University made wonderful speech.
